I am in my second year of a Business and Advertising Management degree at Buckinghamshire New University. For two years I have worked as a regular, part-time swimming teacher.

I am looking for a summer (June - August) position to supplement my university life during term time.

Education

Full-time BA (Hons) student, Buckinghamshire New University, High Wycombe.

      Chosen to be one of five BNU students attending MediaTell / Ad Week conference;

      2:1 grade average (last year);

      Presented my team’s entry to lecturers and EU Commission representative in the EU AdVenture advertising competition, team chosen as BNU entry national semi-finals;

      Volunteer for Business School open days, interviewed on BNU promotional video.

Twyford C of E High School and 6th Form College, Ealing, London.

            2011: A Levels in Business (B), Media Studies (B), History (D). 

            2010: AS Levels in Media Studies (B), History (B), Business Studies (C), Photography (C). 

            2009: 11 GCSE passes, including one A and four Bs.

Work experience

September 2011 (ongoing in term time): part-time swimming teacher, Parkwood Leisure

            Centre, High Wycombe.

      Teacher with highest percentage of students progressing to next level of training;

      Customer service record saw me shortlisted for Employee of the Month;

      Responsible for supervising junior teachers and managing pool on Saturdays;

      Stand in for managers during enrolment, dealing with students and parents.

June - August 2012: casual waiter/barman, Elements Personnel, Putney, London.

January 2009 - July 2011: casual lifeguard, Gurnell Pool, Ealing, London.

AQA Level 1 and 2 swimming teacher;   FA Level 1 football coach;  NPLQ-certified lifeguard;   currently social secretary, next year chair, Buckinghamshire New University Swimming Society;   BNU football team member;   Pitshanger Football Club Player of the Year 2008 and Sportsman of the Year 2009;   member Ealing Dolphins swimming team (third in the British Gas regional competitions 2008);   member Twyford Gospel Choir 2007 - 2010 (“Songs of Praise” School Choir of the Year 2009).

Plans for Easter

My main plan for Easter is to work on my cw3 with the supernova group

This is a franchise web domain for community football with the ethos of improving community and other levels of football’s web presence.

This would also provide a way of increasing the effectiveness of communication between teams in leagues and county divisions.

The main way to work on Coursework 3 over Easter is to discuss ideas and come up with a way of implementing them when we return to uni in April.
